Chores

Never before did I realize how sweet the sound of a dishwasher running could be. We've been having problems with our dishwasher pretty much since we moved in, but it didn't get serious until about a month ago, when it was no longer draining. So after much prodding the office sent someone out to look at it, turns out they had to replace/fix three different items in order for it to function properly. One of which was the motor for the thing.
The new motor had been ordered....a week ago, but it still hadn't arrived yet, so on Friday they said they would send someone out on Saturday to just replace the dishwasher. Cue a Hallelujah chorus. (especially since for the past 3 weeks our dishwasher had been a glorified dish drying rack, I was quite looking forward to using a new dishwasher instead of being the dishwasher.)
I have run 4 loads of dishes just getting caught up, and the new washer is running bea-u-tifully. It wasn't until this one was running that we realized just how bad our previous one was, the motor had probably been failing for the last 3 years.
All that was to pretty much say, Yay pretty new dishwasher!

Changing Seasons

I love the winter, and fall, but let me tell you. I absolutely hate the changing of the season, I always end up with a stuffy nose and lose my voice and just feel like absolute crap. And all that fun started yesterday. Ugh.

Something New

So I got introduced to a new app by one of my gaming friends. It's called Habitica. You can log on either through the free app or their website which is pretty cool. I have mine hooked up to Facebook just for the ease of logging in.
I've only been playing for a couple days and I'm quite enjoying it. So far I've actually been truthful on my habits and have marked myself down for drinking soda or not working out. Which causes you to lose hit points on your character.
All in all I think it's an awesomely fun game/habit builder.

I'm still here

I'm doing good mostly, quite enjoying the thunderstorm going on tonight. Kids are in bed, Husband is resting before he goes to work tonight. And I just am debating between video games and a book.
Ark will probably win, I mean, it's go dinosaurs, which are just so much fun.

Uphill

It's an uphill struggle to even post on this blog. But I'm still here, still kicking and still staying up way too late for a grown woman with kids to watch in the morning who don't believe in letting mommy sleep in, only daddy gets to sleep in this house.

I promise I'm not dead

I have a hard time 'talking' myself into posting, making myself put time aside to update my blog. But I do like keeping people updated. I'm just taking baby steps with it.
I have made some goals for the year, and trying to keep up with my blog is one of them. So keep your fingers crossed and hopefully you'll see a blog post soon. I've got one in mind since Husband and I have been playing Pandemic Legacy Season 1. It's a board game with a wonderful twist that has us super excited to play every week.

I'll be back soon...promise!
