I know it's been awhile since I wrote. Sorry, life tends to get me busy and I kind of forget about everything else. But I promise, tomorrow I'll post some pictures of the sonogram and details about my pregnancy. Tonight though, we'll play a little bit of catch up.
Good news: I have a job. Right now I'm working part time minimum wage at a video store. It kinds sucks at times, but it's something, the plan is for me to work until we have caught up with bills and pulled a little ahead and then I'll be enrolling in phlebotomy classes.
Husband is attending job fairs and trying extremely hard to find a permanent job. I'm very proud of how hard he's looking and trying for this family.
In not so fun news, our relationship with Sweetheart ended. I don't really want to talk about it much yet, but we are going to try to remain friends. At the beginning of August Sweetheart will be moving back to her hometown. As sad as the parting is, I do believe it's for the better.
We just didn't all want the same things.

Updates
Well I still haven't heard from the nursing home, and am starting to loose hope. I have called some days 2-4 times and never reached her, and have not received any calls in response to my messages. So I've started applying at other places. Husband and I both have applied at the local school bus barn, and were both told that we were offered tentative jobs after we take the CDL class they offer for 3 weeks and pass the test. However, if we do that neither of us will be paid until August, which really doesn't work for us. So we're thinking Husband will go ahead and get the training, and even though I am very mentally suited to being a school bus driver, physically it would be better for me to have a job where I moved around more. So I'm trying to find a 3rd shift CNA job right now, although I'm applying other places as well. Well, we're just very hopeful that things will turn around in our favor very soon.
We dearly need them to.
On to more tasty subjects -yes, I am aware just how awesomely clever I am- tonight we're having sloppy joes which is awesome, cause I freaking love sloppy joes. It's actually the first time I've ever really made it from scratch, normally I would just brown some meat and then add the canned 'sloppy joe mix' in and eat it that way. However Husband has never been a big fan of that, and hopefully he'll like it better this way. (I have high hopes considering that he has already been begging me to let him have some of the yummy smelling food already)
My crazy mood swings are getting a little better, now it's not just switching from one emotion to another with no real reason between it. Instead the hormones are just amplifying my moods, which is actually easier for me to deal with and calm down from rather than my 'mood meter' being set on random. The other fun thing about this pregnancy so far is heartburn. Like seriously, I think I'm going to start breathing fire any moment. As such I have decided that the little ball of cells that is growing into my next child needs a nickname. And so I have hereby declared that from henceforth until gender is known -and maybe after- this child shall be called Dragon.
Yes, I do realize it's a bit odd, but let's be honest, everyone who knows me even the slightest knows I'm nothing if not a little bit odd. Besides, Loki was nicknamed that after only a month of pregnancy, and I'll be honest, this time around I'm not going to turn the nickname into the middle name of my child, unless I come up with a better one than Dragon, so I guess I can't honestly 100% promise that, but I can say I'm pretty sure I won't be doing that.

So Much Chicken!
There are so many crock pot recipes that use chicken, it's a little ridiculous. But alas, we are enjoying it, it's kind of fun discovering how yummy chicken can be.
In more mundane news, Sweetheart is at her first day or orientation for the CNA job, I haven't heard back as to whether or not they are going to offer me the job as well. But I placed a call out today, and left a message with her to get back to me.
In more cooking type news MawMa is coming over for dinner tonight, which will be nice, we haven't seen her for a few weeks since she was sick last week. So tonight we're making Chicken and Potatoes I didn't realize that I would need to actually cook the chicken before putting it in the crock pot, so it's taking much longer than I thought it would originally. But it looks like it's going to turn out tasting pretty good, or at least I hope so.
**The chicken turned out great, almost everyone had seconds, and there was barely any we could have for left overs. MawMa had a good name for it - Chicken Roast - it seems to fit, so I might keep that for the name.**
In pregancy news, I hate irrational emotions, it's just so not fair or nice and it doesn't make any sense why I am just angry for no damn reason. I'm getting rather sick of it to be honest. But, for all the hardships that I have had emotionally, I am very glad to be preggers.

So it starts...
My complete inability to keep going with anything for more than 30 minutes at a time. I was hoping that I wouldn't be this unfocused this early in the pregnancy, but I suppose that the fact my body is already changing (like seriously, my abdomen is already starting to tighten up, not sure if that's a good or bad thing)
I had my interview with the post office today, and to be honest, I don't think they are going to offer me the job, but they did encourage me to look at other offers that were available and see if anything else on their website might be a good fit. So I'm still waiting to hear from the CNA job, but hopefully will hear back tomorrow.

Fun update and 1 minute writing
I love the One-Minute Writer Blog so I responded to today's prompt . Please go check the blog out, it's a wonderful exercise to get started with.
Complex would have to be life in general right now, having to deal with the fact that I'll be having a baby in just 10 weeks is unbelieveable still. Simple would have to be my joy at crafting. I've finally got knitting down pretty well, and I'm quite proud of myself, for it.
As for all things baby, things aren't going to bad right now. My sleep has improved somewhat, I'm not quite as sore every morning at the moment. I have had to stop myself from wearing flip flops from now on (or at least I'm trying not to) because the lack of support from the shoes actually hurts my feet pretty badly...so I'm either barefoot or in tennis shoes...and I really don't like tennis shoes....and socks. Well, I like socks but not if I have to wear shoes with them. I also have my second baby shower on Sunday, should be quite interesting, and hopefully I'll get some cloth diapers out of the deal....I really need some of those, and I'll be starting on knitted soakers soon I believe, so fingers doubly crossed.
Anywho, Husband has been working this week! He's got some promising job applications in also, so we're both looking forward to the pay check next week :) Hopefully his company will continue giving him these odd jobs to keep him working more consistently. Or even better we hear back from one of the places Husband has applied this week. We're just keeping our fingers cross that everything keeps going well.

So Exciting! (but still nerdy)
Husband has just finished reading the 5th book in the Song of Ice and Fire series....OH MY GOSH!!!! He told me the ending, because it wouldn't ruin the rest of the book (I'm only around page 390 something, I really need to get on that) I am just so pumped up to read right now! But I'd have to sit still long enough to get anything read...and that's a problem for me lately.
In other news, heartburn is a bi**h....I hate it, I need some papaya, I've been told that helps. But alas, no money, still so hopefully soon we will get some relief. I should have my unemployment card by Monday, and Tuesday I should have my first payment on there. I've also heard the post office will be hiring soon, in the next couple months. And that is awesome, I've been looking for data entry jobs, and that is perfect for me. I just have to take a written test and then they do the typing test, and lord knows I type fast enough for that, at my peak I was up to 90 words per minute. But I need to find a typing program again, I need to work on my 10 key skills, they're atrocious.
Went to Twist tonight, and had a wonderful time, I swear it's one of my favorite places to just *be* plus the talk was good, and people were pleasant to hang around.

Well if life wasn't hard it wouldn't be life...right?
Well, this week has been really fun. I'm pretty much off work right now due to stress, and Husband is between contracts for work right now. I feel a lot less stressed, to be honest, which is a very good thing. The nurse at the health department actually suggested that I quit my job.
So I may start looking for a data entry job, lord knows I can type, when I was taking classes and working on it, I had gotten up to 90 words per minute. In the mean time I'm helping Husband look for a job also, with both of us doing so it helps him, makes the stress of finding a new job a little easier on him when we share it.
I keep trying to finish this blog, but I keep getting distracted by the internet, right now it's Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim, I suggest people look it up, the video is awesome. It's got Christopher Walken in it, if I remember right being in the music video re-started his acting career. But Husband told me that, so i'm pretty sure I'm right.
I suppose that's all for now, I am going to try to keep up with this blog, more so that I have before, and I'm going to try to update my crafting one as well, I'm trying to keep myself going and creative so hopefully I can get my etsy shop up and running. I'm thinking of making cross stitch book marks, since I have a fair about of counted-cross stitch material and lots of extra thread....It sounds like a good idea to me at least.
