Mornings
Well, life is starting to get back into a routine, mostly thanks to my new control journal, FlyLady and support from Husband and Sweetheart. (And I suppose Loki's helping some, in her own way.)
Last night was Husband and Sweetheart's first movie date together, they had a wonderful time. Yay for the Old Town Warren and their $5 movie wednesdays. But with the two of them sleeping in, Loki and I decided to make cinnamon rolls for brunch.
Although this is only possible because the pain isn't unbearable. I go to the chiropractor tomorrow, and the specialist again on tuesday, and hopefully he will have more of an idea what is causing the pain and how we can get whatever this is taken care of.

Oww
My body is slowly trying to kill me through extreme pain, and the doctors have no idea what is wrong with me....still.
Hopefully they figure it out soon, because this hurts and I'm very tired of it.

SNOW!!!
We're finally getting some of the traditional winter weather, in a bit of an abundance. But since I'm not working right now I'm quite enjoying the weather and the fact that I can watch the kids having snow fights in the yard with Loki (she loves watching the kids playing outside)
it's kind of hard to see the snow outside, but if she's starting to get fussy, I just take her over to the window and let her look for a while. It's her new favorite thing to do. Although air kisses are becoming quite popular.
I just love watching it snow knowing I don't have to go out in the weather, and neither do my loved ones.

Music is powerful
It's interesting, the power of music. With a single song you can be reduced to tears, or laughing uncontrollably. Sometimes it's the song itself, or the memories associated with the time you heard the song.
We were listening to a playlist on our way to church, and "Broken" by Seether feat Amy Lee came on. For the first time I remember happy times with my ex, when he brought his guitar to Cottonwood Pointe and serenaded me, and the told me of his parents requirement of a break to prove that we were serious about our courtship (which is ridiculous and is such a long complicated story that seriously pisses me off I won't go into it now...plus if they would have just waited, we probably would have broken up before a whole year passed, but the fact that we couldn't be together keep us closer than we would have been)
But it also got me thinking about where I've been in life when I think of songs....for instance, I held hands with a boy for the first time (David, one of my first big crushes, who didn't really like me back until I hit puberty, and even then wasn't really nice to me) after listening to DC Talk "Jesus Freak". Then there's "Clumsy" by Fergie, which always makes me think of how I would literally trip and fall over myself with nervousness when Husband and I were first getting to know each other and dating (I lost track of how many plates/glasses/bowls I broke or cracked in that first year....He still teases me about that)
Husband always says it's not the actions in a movie that make you really feel the emotion, it's the music behind the actions driving the point home straight to your tear ducts. Really, just think about it.
And I'll leave you with this video, it's an AMV (Anime Music Video) of "Broken" by Seether feat Amy Lee, the song I was talking about earlier. It's two characters from the anime Bleach, and the combo of the song and the scenes from the anime really just hit the right nerve.
WARNING: If you do follow Bleach or Naruto, the videos do contain spoilers if you are not close to the current chapters!
My other favorite is"Stand in the Rain" by Superchick. I'm guessing most people that read this will have never seen Naruto before, but I think it can be understood either way, but this one makes me tear up every time ...but Hinata is also my favorite character in the series (that's the dark haired girl in the video btw)

New Game
I love that all these new games coming out are 'free to play' and depend on micro transactions for their profit. Lets us poor people play some really awesome looking games (I'm talking graphics as well as plot) without having to save up all of our 'free' money to play.
Husband downloaded "Path of Exile" it plays a little like Diablo 3, but there's a hunter class, so of course I'm happy with it. Also the most interesting thing to me is there is no 'money' in the game. And by that I mean no gold currency. All trades happen with a barter scale. You trade items for scrolls of wisdom used to identify things. I've only made it to level 2, but seriously, I'm enjoying it so far. Although to be honest, I'm just using these games to fill the void until I can afford (time and money) to start playing World of Warcraft again, I do miss it.
Anywho, Husband has given me some Loki free time, so off to play I go!
